The Italian goalie has struggled since his move to English football.
Aston Villa goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini has yet another suitor in Italian football, as Serie A side Genoa are reportedly interested in signing the player on loan this month.
TuttoMercatoWeb is reporting that Genoa are looking at the Aston Villa keeper and Benevento’s on-loan from Cagliari star Alexis Cragno as potential signings for January.

Genoa’s number one stopper Mattia Perin is out for the rest of the season and, reportedly, the beginning of next, as he has suffered a severe tear to his knee ligaments.
Genoa are therefore looking for potential replacements with Gollini at the top of the wanted list.
The young goalie was signed from Hellas Verona by Roberto di Matteo in the summer. However, he has struggled to adapt to English football and lost his place in the starting XI to back-up Mark Bunn under new Villa boss Steve Bruce.

Aston Villa also signed Sam Johnstone on loan from Manchester United last week and Gollini is now out of the first-team picture at Villa Park.
Genoa could offer him first-team football back home and a loan deal might be perfect for Aston Villa considering Gollini’s potential long-term development.
