Hull City are reportedly fighting to keep Gary Walsh from joining Aston Villa.

According to The Sun, Hull City are discussing a new contract with goalkeeping coach Gary Walsh to fend off interest from Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce.
Former Hull boss Bruce, 55, became Villa boss earlier this month, and he’s off to a superb start having drawn one and won two of his first three games in charge.

With seven points to his name already, Bruce is showing why Villa were so keen to appoint him as Roberto Di Matteo’s replacement – but there is still work for Bruce to do.
He’s added Stephen Clemence to his coaching staff having worked with the former midfielder at Birmingham City, and then at Hull as a coach – but rumours continue to surround who he’ll appoint as his goalkeeping coach.

The Daily Mail reported earlier this month that West Ham United’s Chris Woods was set to leave the London Stadium in order to join Bruce, but that move hasn’t yet materialised.
Now, The Sun claim that Villa are keen to land another member of Hull’s coaching staff, having worked alongside Bruce during his time at the KCOM Stadium.
The man in question is former Premier League goalkeeper Gary Walsh, who worked with Bruce throughout his time as Hull boss, though was brought to the club by predecessor Nick Barmby.

Walsh, a former Manchester United goalkeeper, is allegedly wanted by Villa as they look to develop young Italian stopper Pierluigi Gollini, but Hull won’t let him leave without a fight.
The report claims that Villa are keen to take Walsh to Villa Park, but Hull are discussing a new contract with him – and he could choose to stay with the Tigers rather than drop into the Championship with his former boss Bruce.
