Forest look to finally be on the verge of being sold to an American consortium run John Moores.
That appointment will see Forest sack current boss Philippe Montanier and replace him with former Birmingham City manager Gary Rowett.

The Birmingham Mail report that this could end Villa’s chances of signing the player. They claim that Rowett was planning his own raid on Lansbury before being sacked at Birmingham City and is not willing to sanction any potential sale of the player.
He is hopeful his arrival and a change of ownership can sway Lansbury toward staying at Forest.

The report claimed Aston Villa’s £3 million move is now in serious doubt, especially with things now moving smoothly at Forest in regards to a takeover.
Lansbury is out of contract in the summer and has been linked with a number of clubs after some excellent performances this season.
But it seems there is a glimmer of hope regarding a potential City Ground stay.
