Gary Cahill has been linked with a move to Aston Villa this summer.

The Sun has suggested that although Gary Cahill would prefer to remain in London, a move to Aston Villa isn’t off the cards.
The 33-year-old central defender is a free agent after being released by Chelsea.
Aston Villa and West Ham United have been linked but The Sun reports that the Champions League winner would favour a London-based club.
However, the report adds that Cahill would have a better chance of playing regularly at Villa and therefore he could yet move to Bodymoor Heath this summer.
Cahill was earning £110,000 per week with the West London giants [The Telegraph], where he also won two Premier League titles and two FA Cups.
And it does seem logical that he may sacrifice his desire to stay in the capital if it meant more playing time somewhere else in the country.
That being said, Aston Villa have already signed Kortney Hause and the fans will be desperate to see Tyrone Mings return which, if he does, will mean that there’s little point of bringing back Cahill, who began his career in the West Midlands and spent eight years there.
