It is claimed that Baker is set to seal a two-year loan move to Monk’s Middlesbrough, where he will replace Atalanta-bound midfielder Marten de Roon.

And it is the opportunity to play regularly at The Riverside which is said to be behind the Chelsea player’s decision.
West Ham have been linked with several midfielders throughout the summer transfer window, despite the insistence of co-chairman David Sullivan that the Hammers are not looking to strengthen that particular department.
One of those, Jack Wilshere, spent last season on loan to Bournemouth from Arsenal, however, the Cherries are yet to replace the England international.
But Baker instead looks set to follow in the footsteps of several of his past and present Blues teammates by signing for Middlesbrough on a temporary basis.
