The BBC understand that Leeds have made their decision to hire Monk, just days after sacking Steve Evans, and his hiring is imminent.
Monk is regarded as one of the most promising managerial talents in England after an impressive beginning to his coaching career with Swansea City, before the ruthless nature of the Premier League caught up with him.
