Leeds United could have competition for Mbaye Diagne.
It looks like Leeds United have serious competition if they want to sign Mbaye Diagne.
According to Turkish Football, Leeds scouted the Kasimpasa striker last month, having also been linked with a move for the Senegalese star this past summer.
Team Talk reported last month that Diagne is valued at around £9 million but, given his form, that figure might well rise come January.
But the financial element isn’t the only obstacle for the Whites and other Championship clubs – a big European side has reportedly entered the running.
Fanatik have reported that Galatasaray are keen, but that the Turkish giants won’t be offering more than €5 million – or £4.4 million – despite seemingly being in negotiations.
With Kemar Roofe back in action and Tyler Roberts a very decent deputy striker, Leeds are well stocked with striking options for the moment – and they still have Patrick Bamford, their £7 million investment, to come back too.
It seems unlikely that Gala will be able to sign the red-hot striker for less than £5 million, with Diagne scoring his 11th goal in 10 games recently.
