Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Leo Bonatini is reportedly being monitored by Galatasaray.
Bonatini has endured a difficult year at Molineux. The striker made a phenomenal start after arriving on loan while Wolves were in the Championship, but his form has tailed off quite dramatically.
He has not scored in the second tier or Premier League since December 2017, and has one Carabao Cup goal to his name this season. And it appears that he may be offered the chance to leave the club in the future.
Fotospor reports that Hasan Sas travelled to the Emirates to watch Wolves’ 1-1 draw with Arsenal before the international break to scout Bonatini. However, Gala did not get to see their target in action as the 24-year-old – who joined permanently for £5 million in the summer, according to Birmingham Live – was left out of the matchday squad.
Galatasaray – who Fotospor reports are also tracking Norwich City striker Teemu Pukki – may still be able to take some encouragement from their apparently wasted scouting trip.
Bonatini has clearly fallen out of favour under Nuno, so that may make a potential move easier to negotiate further down the line. If Wolves have replacements in mind, it is currently difficult to see the club standing in Bonatini’s way if a decent offer comes in.
