According to a report from Turkish media outlet Fanatik, Galatasaray are pushing to sign Tottenham ace Victor Wanyama before the end of their transfer window on August 31st.

The 28-year-old joined Spurs from Southampton in the summer of 2016, for a fee believed to be worth £11 million, according to BBC Sport, and he has gone on to make appearances in all competitions for the north London outfit.

Wanyama lost his place in the Tottenham staring line-up last season after suffering a serious injury, however, and following the arrival of Tanguy Ndombele this summer, his chances of regular first-team football have been dealt a severe blow.

So a move away from Spurs might be the ideal outcome for both the player and Spurs.

Fanatik claims that Galatasaray officials are in London to speak with Tottenham regarding Wanyama, and the Turkish outfit are pushing hard to prise the 56-capped Kenya international away from north London.

And if Spurs can recoup a decent fee for Wanyama, moving the 28-year-old on this summer seems almost like a no-brainer for them.
