The Tottenham Hotspur player has again been linked with a move to the Turkish giants.

According to Turkish website Fanatik, Galatasaray have not given up on Tottenham Hotspur striker Vincent Janssen and are planning a last ditch attempt to sign him on loan from the North London club.

The Netherlands international arrived at White Hart Lane after a superb campaign in his homeland for AZ Alkmaar, but he has struggled for form this season and is yet to score from open play for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

Janssen was on the score sheet in the 4-3 victory against Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday but yet again it was from the penalty spot; however that does not appear to have put off Galatasaray.

The Fanatik report claims the Turkish side see Janssen as their top target as we approach the final few hours of the transfer window, but that they will turn their attention to Leicester City forward Leonardo Ulloa if a deal cannot be struck with Spurs.

Given the lack of striking options at Tottenham if Harry Kane is ruled out, a deal for Janssen seems highly unlikely, especially at this late stage of proceedings.

With Galatasaray’s salary budget allegedly allowing them to pay only £861,000 a year, the report claims they want Tottenham to pick up the short-fall if a deal can be struck; something chairman Daniel Levy is unlikely to sanction given his reputation for driving a very hard bargain.
