The Dutchman has struggled at Forest but recently scored his first goal for the club.
Nottingham Forest’s Lars Veldwijk looks dejected
Reports in Turkey are suggesting that Galatasaray are set to follow up their interest for Nottingham Forest striker Lars Veldwijk with a form offer.
It was first reported by As Marca Tr a month ago that the Dutch striker is wanted in a potential €3.2 million (£2.7 million) deal after the frontman impressed during a loan spell at PEC Zwolle last season.
Now it is suggested that Galatasaray have followed up that interest with a concrete offer in the past few days.
Fotomac is reporting that Gala have now made a bid for the Dutch striker, but it is nowhere near the price previously quoted.
Nottingham Forest’s Lars Veldwijk looks dejected at full time
They claim Galatasaray have offered Forest a deal worth €1.25 million (£1.1 million) for his services and have given Forest two days to respond to the offer.
Veldwijk recently scored his first goal for Forest since joining the club from Excelsior in the summer of 2014.
After a poor first season at the club he went on to depart Forest for Zwolle last summer and went on to perform well in the Dutch Eredivisie – scoring 14 goals in 35 appearances for the club.
But, given his recent goal for the club, perhaps Forest could give him another chance at the City Ground.
