The Frenchman has struggled to settle at the King Power.

In the summer Leicester City found themselves searching for a replacement for midfielder N’Golo Kante.

The Frenchman made a move to Chelsea after an incredible season in the Premier League and with France at Euro 2016.

Leicester quickly identified Nampalys Mendy as the man to replace him. The Frenchman’s similarities to Kante were fairly startling. Similar size and build and playing style, he arrived from Nice in the summer for a fee reported by the Daily Mail to be in the region of £13 million.

But he has struggled since his move to the King Power and is now being linked with an exit after just one season.

It is reported by FotoMac that Turkish giants Galatasaray are hoping to sign him in the summer. The Istanbul club tried to sign him in 2015 but failed and are now hopeful of successfully renewing that interest. They would not be able to afford the 24-year-old, but are said to be hopeful of bringing him in on loan.

Mendy suffered an injury at the start of the season and has gone on to play just nine times this season, mostly in the cup competitions.
