Fulham are tracking fallen Celtic hero Stefan Johansen, according to The Express.
The 25-year-old playmaker endured a miserable 2015-16 campaign with the Hoops, netting twice and setting up four goals from 36 appearances in all competitions.
This came after the Norwegian ace won Scotland’s PFA Player of the Year for the following season – a staggering decline all things considered.
His form, coupled with the exit of Ronny Deila, has prompted reports from The Express that Fulham are keen to offer him an escape route.
The report goes on to claim that he is now worth just a meagre £2 million as a result of his woes this past season – peanuts in comparison to what he would have fetched this time last year.
Johansen has clearly gone off the rails for one reason or the other, and new manager Brendan Rodgers is unlikely to have been impressed by the unexplainable decline.
That being said, he clearly has the ability to do damage in Scotland’s top flight, having scored 12 times and set up another seven in his first full season at Parkhead.
For £2 million, is it worth selling him? Perhaps not given how effective he can be. Whether he can scale those heights again, however, remains to be seen.
