According to Foot Mercato, Fulham and Southampton are interested in signing Saint-Etienne youngster Jordan Halaimia.

It has been reported that Premier League duo Fulham and Southampton have scouted the 18-year-old central defender several times this season.

Sporting Braga in Portugal and Italian side Sampdoria are also claimed to have watched the teenager a number of times this campaign.

According to Foot Mercato, Halaimia is on a youth contract with Saint-Etienne and has no desire to leave the French club anytime soon.

Good long-term signing

With Halaimia reportedly waiting to hear about a professional contract from Saint-Etienne, Fulham and Southampton will fancy their chances of snapping up the youngster in the summer of 2019.

After all, the Cottagers and the Saints can offer Premier League football to the youngster and are also rich clubs.

However, the youngster could decide to carry on at Saint-Etienne, where he is progressing well and could establish himself in the first team in the coming years.
