Ligue 1 flyer Sabaly is reportedly set to become Fulham’s new Premier League right-back.

Fulham appear set to bring an end to their search for a new right-back on transfer deadline day with Youssouf Sabaly apparently edging closer to a late move to Craven Cottage, according to Love Sport Radio.

Sabaly is currently plying his trade in France with Bordeaux but Fulham manager Claudio Ranieri has identified him as a solution to a problem position on the right hand side of defence.

The speedy Senegal international, who impressed with his direct style at the World Cup in Russia, has started just nine Ligue 1 games for Bordeaux this season.

And Love Sport Radio believes that Fulham are arranging transport to bring Sabaly over to West London, where he is expected to put pen to paper with the relegation-threatened Premier League side.

Fulham have been linked with Sabaly since the first week of the January transfer window, when L’Equipe claimed that they had entered initial talks.

And it seems that this transfer saga is set to have a happy ending. Sabaly’s arrival should see him compete with Republic of Ireland international Cyrus Christie for a place in Ranieri’s starting XI.
