Fulham are ready to pay as much as £16 million for Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker Ivan Cavaleiro in the summer transfer window, according to TEAMtalk.

Wolves are reportedly ready to sell Cavaleiro, who can operate as a winger or as a forward, having signed from AS Monaco in the summer of 2016 for £7m.

The Wanderers reportedly turned down a £12m bid from Premier League rivals Fulham and Huddersfield Town.

TEAMtalk has claimed that Fulham have now moved into pole position for the 24-year-old and are willing to pay as much as £16m for him as transfer fee.

Should Wolverhampton Wanderers sell Ivan Cavaleiro?

Cavaleiro has done well for Wolves during his two years at the club and has established himself as an important player for the Wanderers.

The Portugal international scored nine goals and provided 12 assists in 31 Championship starts for Wolves last season.

During the 2016-17 campaign, the attacker scored five goals and provided five assists in 17 league starts for the Wanderers.

However, with Wolves having made some major signings in the summer transfer window and preparing for life in the Premier League, it would not be a bad idea for them to cash in on Cavaleiro, especially if they get £16m as transfer fee.
