According to Brazilian journalist, Jorge Nicola, Fulham have had a €20m (£18m) bid for Fluminese’s Andre rejected.
The offer made by Fulham was for an initial loan with an obligation to buy for €20m (£18m).
With Brexit making it more difficult for English clubs to sign young European talents, the Brazilian market has become increasingly important for teams like Fulham.
The London club have recently signed players like Willian, Rodrigo Muniz and Andreas Pereira recently, all of which were playing in Brazil before joining the Whites.
Indeed, it’s clear to see that Fulham have an eye on South America, and they’re keen to sign another player from Brazil in the shape of Andre.

Fulham are in need of depth in their midfield and have also been linked to Sasa Lukic from Torino. Andre would be an interesting addition to their squad as he is a very young player who is thought to have high potential.
It’s not the first time Andre has caught the attention of an English club. Liverpool have been interested in the player recently, and it’s reported that Andre would be offered a salary at least five times higher than what he currently receives if he were to move to England.
It’s unclear at this point if Fulham will return with a new bid for Andre, but it’s clear that the club is looking to strengthen their squad, particularly in the midfield, for the second half of the season.
The transfer window closes on February 1st and it’s expected that Fulham will be making up to three signings before then as Cedric Soares looks close to joining on loan, Shane Duffy is set to make his loan move permanent, and a new midfielder also looks to be on the agenda.
Keep an eye on Fulham, and watch out for potential signings from Brazil.
