Fulham are reportedly pushing to sign Swansea City attacker Jordan Ayew.
According to Sky Sports, Fulham have opened talks with Swansea City over an £8million deal to sign striker Jordan Ayew this summer.
The Cottagers clinched promotion to the Premier League with a 1-0 Championship play-off final win over Aston Villa last month, and manager Slavisa Jokanovic will be looking for reinforcements.
Fulham will want to land loan striker Aleksandar Mitrovic permanently from Newcastle United, but other attacking options are also being considered as Fulham look to stay in the Premier League.
Now, Sky Sports report that Fulham are in talks with Swansea City, and are hoping to snap up forward Andre Ayew in a deal worth around £8million.
Ayew, 26, didn’t make much of an impact with Aston Villa following a 2015 move from Lorient, and was moved on to Swansea in January 2017 as part of Neil Taylor’s move to Villa.
Last term, the Ghanaian attacker hit 11 goals in all competitions, thriving in the Swansea front line despite their relegation to the Championship – and it’s no surprise that he is receiving Premier League interest.
Ayew is likely to want a return to the top flight, and Fulham are now looking to land something of a coup by bringing him to Craven Cottage in a reasonably-priced deal.
Swansea are likely to demand more money given that this appears to be Fulham’s first bid, but Jokanovic and co may well be confident of luring Ayew to West London this summer.
