According to a report by The Telegraph, Fulham are keen on a move for Wales international Rabbi Matondo.

Matondo has spent this season out on loan in Belgium with Cercle Brugge, but he may now be offered a return to English football with Fulham.

Matondo has previously been linked with Arsenal and Manchester City, so this could be something of a coup for Fulham.

The Whites have secured the Championship title meaning they will be playing Premier League football next term, and thus, they need to add to their squad.

Neeskens Kebano has been Fulham’s first-choice on the left wing this term, but sadly, the DR Congo international has proven on two previous occasions that he’s not quite cut out for the Premier League.

Matondo is yet to have a proper crack at the English top-flight, but based on his performances in Belgium this term, he has what it takes to play for a team like Fulham.

Indeed, Matondo has scored 10 goals this season in Belgium, while his style of play would also lend itself well to the Premier League.

Matondo is an incredibly strong winger, but it’s his pace that truly makes him stand out.

The Welshman is actually the fifth-fastest player in Bundesliga history according to the German league’s official website.

In fact, Matondo is actually ranked as being just as fast as Erling Haaland, and if you’ve seen Haaland play before, you’ll know just how quick the Borussia Dortmund striker is.

Matondo’s directness and pace could really suit Marco Silva’s style of play, and this addition could be a massive boost to Fulham’s survival hopes next season.
