Brighton agree to allow Oliver Norwood join Fulham on a season-long loan.

Fulham have agreed a deal to take Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Oliver Norwood on a season-long loan deal, according to Get West London.

Norwood has fallen down the pecking order at the Amex Stadium following Brighton’s promotion to the Premier League and the Sussex club are keen for him to get some game time in 2017/18.

The 26-year-old signed for the Seagulls from Reading in the summer of 2016 and played 37 matches in all competitions as Chris Hughton’s men finished second in the Championship.

However, Hughton has now decided that Norwood does not feature in his first team plans as he prepares his side for their first season in the top flight since 1983.

The Northern Ireland international – who has 43 caps for his country – is under contract with Brighton until 2019 and has been given permission to undergo a medical at Craven Cottage.

Norwood will become the Cottagers’ third signing of the window, alongside Marcelo Djalo and Ibrahima Cisse.
