Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are now being linked with Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.
Liverpool linked with Napoli striker Victor Osimhen
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Liverpool are interested in signing Victor Osimhen from Napoli in the summer transfer window.
The report in the Italian news outlet has claimed that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp personally wants the 24-year-old striker at Anfield for next season and beyond.
Klopp really appreciates Osimhen, and Liverpool owners, Fenway Sports Group (FSG), will “try to accommodate” the wishes of the German manager, according to the report.
La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported that Liverpool have already made contact with Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, and have enquired about the striker, who is “very annoying to play against” and “just doesn’t stop running”, according to AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori in The Times in May 2023.
Napoli are looking for €180 million (£154.40 million) in transfer fees for the 24-year-old Nigerian star, according to the report.
The Napoli no. 9 scored 26 goals and gave four assists in Serie A and scored five goals in the UEFA Champions League last season.

Could a summer transfer happen?
In our opinion, Liverpool are unlikely to be able to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen in the summer transfer window if they are to pay €180 million (£154.40 million) for him.
We do not think that FSG are going to spent over £150 million on a single player.
And while Osimhen is a brilliant striker, Liverpool do have options in attack.
Darwin Nunez, Cody Gakpo, Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah all are brilliant forward players.
