Donny van de Beek will look to leave Manchester United in the January transfer window after Old Trafford chiefs blocked a loan move to Everton this summer, per the Daily Mail.
The Dutchman wanted to explore a temporary switch to Goodison Park after his agent, Guido Albers, spoke with the Toffees. But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer stepped in on Deadline Day and refused to sanction the 24-year-old’s exit.
However, Van de Beek has only cut a peripheral role since, with a mere six minutes of top-flight football. His only starts of the campaign so far have also come in the Carabao Cup and Champions League. But Solskjaer hauled him off at half-time in defeat to Young Boys.

Solskjaer compounded Van de Beek’s misery on Wednesday when the Norwegian left him on the bench against Villarreal. Eric Bailly and Dean Henderson even had to console him after the £120k-a-week ace appeared to hurl chewing gum into the technical area in anger.
Everton may now have another chance to sign Van de Beek, as he will look to renew efforts to leave Manchester United in January. The Red Devils’ £40m signing cannot see his situation improving under Solskjaer, despite assurances over his game time this summer.
Solskjaer insists his future remains at Old Trafford, but club chiefs may consider selling the 19-cap international. Van de Beek is desperate to regain his place in the Netherlands squad after last featuring in March. While Manchester United want to sign a holding midfielder.
Should Everton re-explore signing Manchester United outcast Van de Beek?
Van de Beek’s frustrations will likely continue until he leaves Manchester United, after Solskjaer blocked his Everton move this summer. The Norwegian is unlikely to afford any consistent chances to impress and showed on Wednesday where he stands.

Solskjaer favoured Jesse Lingard and Fred from the bench when Van de Beek appeared to be an option to enter. Enraging the Dutchman, who had shown flashes of his talent in the Red Devil’s EFL Cup loss to West Ham.
Van de Beek got about the pitch from a deep-lying midfield role and produced some nice passes. One, in particular, lifting the ball through and finding Mason Greenwood for a good chance to score.
Everton could revive their interest in Van de Beek if he does try to leave Manchester United in January. Algemeen Dagblad reported in August they had agreed to the Red Devil’s terms for a loan. Only for Solskjaer to step in and put an end to Marcel Brands’ pursuit.
