According to Goal, OGC Nice have identified Celtic’s Kristoffer Ajer as a transfer target ahead of the January transfer window.

Goal‘s report states that the Ligue 1 outfit have been impressed by the Norway international, and are keen to bring him to France.

OGC Nice are on the hunt for a new centre-back after Dante suffered a serious cruciate ligament injury.

As a result, they are eyeing the 22-year-old Bhoys colossus ahead of a potential winter transfer.

Goal state that Celtic’s asking price for the Rælingen-born centre-back is thought to be £12 million.

However, if OGC Nice want to sign the Hoops star, then they’ll face competition.

Italian giants AC Milan are also interested in the Norwegian, whose contract at Celtic Park expires in the summer of 2022.

Ajer is clearly impressing a lot at Celtic under Neil Lennon, with two sides who competed in this season’s Europa League taking an interest in him.

Celtic’s No.35 has made 24 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring one goal while recording two assists.

He’s also received just one yellow card and no red cards.

He is, without a doubt, one of Lennon’s most crucial players, and the ex-Bolton boss certainly won’t want to lose him mid-season, if at all.
