Report: Frankfurt fear £44m move from Tottenham, Everton, for World Cup ace Rebic

Tottenham and Everton are claimed to be tracking Ante Rebic.

German side Eintracht Frankfurt fear Everton and Tottenham interest in World Cup star Ante Rebic, report German outlet Sport1.

Rebic has played a key role for Croatia so far, scoring against Argentina, and he will line up against England in this evening’s World Cup semi-final.

Frankfurt want to hang onto him and are trying to resist Bayern Munich’s interest.

Sport1 report the German side are most fearful of interest from England, with Tottenham and Everton known admirers.

It states a 50 million Euro bid (£44m)) from either side would see Frankfurt cave in and let Rebic go.

The big questions are whether he is worth it, and if either Everton or Tottenham believe he is.

Rebic, 24, scored nine goals for the Bundesliga side last season and provided two assists.

He has one goal at the World Cup and England will be hoping that tally does not rise this evening.
