Palmer, who spent the second half of last season on loan with Derby County, is known to the Norwich City sporting director.

England's former player Frank Lampard takes his seat for The Best FIFA Football Awards ceremony, on October 23, 2017 in London.

Frank Lampard has yet to decide whether or not to bring Kasey Palmer back to Derby County – opening the door to other clubs including Norwich City, according to the Daily Mirror.

Sky Sports reported earlier this week that Derby have been given permission to hold talks with Palmer, the Chelsea attacking midfielder who spent the second half of last season on loan at Pride Park.

But the Daily Mirror claims Lampard has made up his mind to pursue a deal for Florian Jozefzoon, the Brentford winger – somewhat contradicting the above.

And Derby have already seen a £1.5 million offer turned down for the Dutchman, according to Sky Sports.

The broadcaster claimed last week that Norwich – whose sporting director, Stuart Webber, signed Palmer for Huddersfield Town two years ago – were expected to bid for the 21-year-old, although whether or not they did so remains to be seen.

Norwich have offloaded a number of players in Palmer’s position this summer, but have managed to add Emiliano Buendía, Ben Marshall and Teemu Pukki – all of whom can play there.

Derby, Norwich or somewhere else – where will Palmer end up?
