Tete recently snubbed Galatasaray and now has interest from Crystal Palace and Lyon among others, a report claims.

Frank de Boer is eyeing a reunion with Ajax youngster Kenny Tete at Crystal Palace, according to Voetbal International.

De Boer gave Tete his debut for the Amsterdam giants and is said to be ’emphatically’ looking for a new right-back.

However, the newly-appointed Palace boss could face a battle to land the player, for whom Spanish, Italian and French sides – of which Lyon are named in the report – are also credited with interest.

Tete’s deal expires next summer and the report claims Ajax recently accepted an offer of €3 million [c. £2.7 million] for him from Galatasaray, which the player subsequently turned down as he did not want to play in Turkish football.

The presence of De Boer in south London could put Crystal Palace in a favourable position to land the 21-year-old, who can play anywhere across the back line.

However, Tete’s transfer could leave the futures of Joel Ward and Martin Kelly in doubt, despite the latter signing a contract extension late last year.

Tete has played 55 times for Ajax in total and been capped six times by the Netherlands.
