Rangers’ Michael O’Halloran is wanted by former club St Johnstone – and three other Scottish clubs.
According to the Daily Record, St Johnstone face competition from three Scottish Premiership rivals in the race to sign Rangers attacker Michael O’Halloran.
The Gers forked out £500,000 (Daily Mail) to land O’Halloran from St Johnstone in last year’s January transfer window, after he had hit 16 goals in 90 games for the Saints.

Former Celtic youngster O’Halloran, 26, hit three goals in 13 games at the end of last season following his move to Ibrox, but this season has been a frustrating one for the forward.
O’Halloran has started just five league games this season, and whilst his pace has often given Rangers a different element, he’s yet to really nail down a place in the Rangers first team.

Now, the Daily Record report that St Johnstone want to re-sign O’Halloran – but face competition from three Scottish Premiership rivals in the race for his signature.
It’s unclear just who the other teams are, but it’s stated that Rangers are willing to let the attacker leave on loan during this month’s transfer window, in order to free up cash for other additions.
Rangers may not want to strengthen a direct rival in the race for second place, which could rule out Aberdeen and Hearts, but a move back to St Johnstone may appeal to O’Halloran having impressed so much there before his move to Rangers.
In his year at Rangers, it doesn’t feel like O’Halloran has been given enough chances to shine, but with the likes of Barrie McKay, Joe Dodoo, Kenny Miller and Martyn Waghorn all in contention, manager Mark Warburton may feel that he can do without O’Halloran in the short term, whilst giving him chance to save his Rangers career at the end of the season.
