The goal came little over a year after the Argentine was diagnosed with testicular cancer and many had feared he had played his last game for the club but his edge-of-the-box strike at St. James’ Park marked the completion of the winger’s sensational comeback.
Unfortunately Newcastle didn’t manage to pull off similar sorts of heroics last season as they were relegated to the Championship for the second time.
