The Russian is set to link up with Chelsea’s Dutch feeder club, three months after leaving Hull City.

Former Hull City manager Leonid Slutsky is on the verge of a new job – with Chelsea’s Dutch feeder club Vitesse Arnhem, according to De Telegraaf.
It is claimed the Russian has an agreement in principle to become Vitesse’s new manager, and is waiting on a work permit to take charge of the sixth-placed Eredivisie side.
Slutsky, who has close ties to Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich, left Hull at the start of December.

The former CSKA Moscow and Russia boss spent just six months at the KCOM Stadium, where he signed three Chelsea players – Michael Hector, Ola Aina and Fikayo Tomori.
Stam stays?
Slutsky’s appointment will put to an end the speculation linking Reading boss Jaap Stam with the Vitesse vacancy.
However, the Dutchman has also found himself linked to fellow Eredivisie sides Heerenveen and AZ Alkmaar.

Stam, who lead Reading to last season’s Championship play-off final, finds the Royals in 18th position – two places and two points above Hull.
