West Ham United are willing to sell Sebastien Haller for £36 million this summer with Niko Kovac hoping to reunite with his former Eintracht Frankfurt talisman at Monaco, according to Le10 Sport.

With a Bundesliga-winning boss back in the dugout after nine months on the breadline, it hasn’t taken long for one of Kovac’s favourites to be linked with a move to the Principality.

Monaco have taken a gamble on bringing the Croatian coach to Monte Carlo.

He never really convinced at Bayern, after all, with a prosaic style of play allegedly resulting in a divide in the dressing room.

But, if they are hoping to hit the jackpot with their new look management team of Kovac and sporting director Paul Mitchell, then Haller could have the 2017 Ligue 1 champions dreaming big again after two years of underachievement.

According to reports from across the Channel, the one-time Frankfurt ace could be on his way out of the London Stadium after just 12 underwhelming months with West Ham considering offers of £36 million.

Haller has looked devoid of confidence in recent months despite a sparkling start to life on English shores.

And, given that he a technically-gifted targetman produced some of the best football of his career under Kovac in Germany, the chance to reunite with a coach who knows and trusts him should appeal.

“A bulldozer couldn’t knock him over!,” Kovac once told the Bundesliga’s website of a man who has won the most aerial duels in the Premier League this season.
