The Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman is eyeing a reunion with a player in whom Arsenal are reportedly interested, according to Mundo Deportivo.
According to SoccerNews.NL, Arsenal would welcome a return to the Emirates Stadium for the PSV Eindhoven striker Donyell Malen – two years after they sold him for £540,000 (Transfermarkt).
Malen has excelled back in his homeland, scoring or assisting 49 goals in 80 games for PSV.
And it was claimed by Tuttomercatoweb earlier this year that the Dutch side could demand €60 million (around £54.5m) for the 21-year-old, after he caught the attention of Napoli.
Barca are the latest club said to have taken a shine to Malen.
It is claimed he is the Catalans’ ‘Plan B’ if a move for Memphis Depay – the former PSV striker who is in the final year of his contract with Lyon – fails to materialise.
And Barca could have a trump card to play, with Malen having made his Netherlands debut under Koeman, who took charge at Camp Nou earlier this year.

Arsenal are not short of options in Malen’s position, although two of those, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette have either entered or are about to enter their thirties.
And, with his 22nd birthday not until January, Malen could be seen as a useful long-term option for Mikel Arteta’s team.
