Former Aston Villa players Nigel Reo-Coker and Luke Moore are reportedly training with Norwegian Tippeligaen side, Lillestrom.
Nigel Reo Coker – Aston Villa
It’s not often you see famous faces from the Premier League turn up in the Norwegian first division, especially two from the same side! But that appears to be the case at Tippeligaen side Lillestrom, who have two ex-Aston Villa players training with them.
According to a report by Norwegian media outlet Verdens Gang, former Aston Villa captain Nigel Re-Coker and forward Luke Moore are both training with the Canaries, who have one of the largest fanbases in Norway.
Former Villa captain Reo-Coker, who also enjoyed spells with West Ham United and Bolton Wanderers, had most recently been playing in the MLS for Canadian side Montreal Impact. However, after leaving Impact in 2016, Reo-Coker has been looking for a new club, and now hopes to feature at Lillestrom.
After leaving Aston Villa in 2008, Luke Moore has enjoyed spells at a host of clubs, including teams such as West Bromwich Albion, Swansea City and, most recently, MLS side Toronto FC. However, after leaving the club in 2016 after scoring just seven goals, Moore has also been looking for a new club, and may get a chance alongside his former teammate, Reo-Coker.
Luke Moore – Aston Villa
An often underrated player in Martin O’Neil’s Aston Villa side, Nigel Reo-Coker was a leader on and off the pitch, and will certainly offer something to the Norweigan side, despite his age.
Perhaps Aston Villa fans will have one eye on the Tippeligaen now?
