Nottingham Forest have been linked with yet another goalkeeper with Fulham’s David Button said to be on the radar.

Nottingham Forest’s mission to sign new goalkeepers has lead them to Fulham’s door, with the South London Press claiming the side are interested in David Button.

The Nottingham Post has already reported that the Reds have agreed a two-year deal with free agent Liam Bossin – although he is likely to go into the Under-23s side to start with – while the same newspaper also says they are about to open talks with Liverpool over a loan move for Adam Bogdan.

Now Button is on the shortlist, whom Forest manager Mark Warburton knows well having worked with him when they were both at Brentford.

The Cottagers signed the 28-year-old from Griffin Park in the summer of 2016 and he was the established number one last season, before losing his place to Marcus Bettinelli for the last six Championship games.

Bettinelli himself has been linked with a switch to Bristol City by the Bristol Post, so with both their first choice ‘keepers under surveillance Fulham may need to decide quickly who they want between the sticks going forward.

Warburton already has Stephen Henderson, Jordan Smith and Vladimir Stojkovic as options at the City Ground, although the latter is expected to leave in the near future.
