The Football League will reportedly make a decision on Jordan Rhodes’ proposed move to Sheffield Wednesday today.
According to The Mirror, the Football League will hold a meeting today in order to decide the fate of Jordan Rhodes’ proposed £10million move from Middlesbrough to Sheffield Wednesday.
Rhodes, 26, has become known as one of the Championship’s best strikers in recent years, as he hit a remarkable 83 goals in 159 games for Blackburn Rovers before earning a move to Middlesbrough last January.

The Scottish striker scored six times in 18 Championship games to help Boro win promotion last season, but his time in the Premier League has been disappointing to say the least.
Rhodes has barely featured for Boro, starting just two league games this season and failing to score, before Aitor Karanka swooped to land Rudy Gestede and Patrick Bamford, pushing Rhodes down the pecking order at the Riverside Stadium.

Many expected Rhodes to leave in January, and he appeared to be closing in on a move to Sheffield Wednesday on deadline day, with the Owls – who have Rhodes’ father Andy as their goalkeeping coach – seemingly agreeing a £10million deal.
However, the transfer deadline passed last night with no confirmation from Wednesday, leaving fans worried that a deal has fallen through having missed the cut-off point.
Now, The Mirror claim that the Football League will meet today in order to make a final decision on Rhodes’ move, as they attempt to determine whether all the formalities were completed in time for the deal to go through.
Boro, Wednesday and Rhodes now all face an anxious wait to find out whether the move has the Football League’s seal of approval, with a decision expected later today.
