Signing imminent?

Lejeune is a good defender, and the report in The Chronicle suggests that he will join Newcastle soon.

The Frenchman, though, will have to work hard in order to cement his place in the Magpies’ starting lineup for the 2017-18 campaign.

Newcastle will play in the Premier League next season after gaining automatic promotion from the Championship at the end of the 2016-17 campaign.

Rafael Benitez’s side will be aiming to break into the top 10 of the Premier League next season.

Meanwhile, Eibar finished 10th in La Liga during the 2016-17 campaign.
