According to El Confidencial, Real Madrid supremo Florentino Pérez is now planning to copy Tottenham after they withdrew from his Super League.

The 74-year-old plans to mimic Tottenham’s idea to host NFL games at their stadium.

Interestingly, the Spaniard wants Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabéu to copy Tottenham’s retractable football pitch model.

Now, this might not be of interest to some, but it’s certainly a big compliment to Tottenham and Daniel Levy.

Why? Well, Pérez is one of the most innovate brains in football.

Yes, some ideas are more unpopular than others, the Super League disaster being one.

However, not many people can hold the reins at a giant of a club like Real Madrid for so long without having their wits about them.

Levy and Tottenham have introduced NFL to their stadium in such a seamless way, through the clever construction of their stadium.

For Real Madrid of all teams to look at that and think ‘we want that too’ is a big compliment to Spurs and their smart thinking.

Levy might not be the most popular man in north London right now, but ideas like this will do wonders for Tottenham’s financial future.

There is so much money involved in the NFL, and it’s quite a big thing for Tottenham to be involved in it, even just by playing host.

So long as NFL is played at Tottenham’s stadium, Spurs should receive a nice little boost in revenue, which will hopefully see some new faces arrive in the transfer market.
