The Yorkshire Evening Post have claimed that Fleetwood Town are looking to re-sign Lewie Coyle from Leeds United after the right-back earned the Players’ Player of the Year award with the League One side.

Coyle, 22, missed just four games all season with The Trawlermen, helping Fleetwood avoid a relegation dogfight in England’s third tier. He even showed prowess in attack, adding six assists.

Coyle has a contract at Elland Road until the summer of 2020, and is well-regarded at Yorkshire after coming through the Thorp Arch academy system to make 23 senior Leeds appearances.

It remains to be seen where Bielsa stands on Coyle’s future, with Luke Ayling currently considered first choice at right-back with the Championship club.
