According to AS, five clubs are interested in signing Lucas Torreira from Arsenal this month as his struggles at Atletico Madrid continue.
The Spanish news outlet state that Torino, Fiorentina and Lazio want the 26-cap Uruguay international, while Valencia are also keen on him.
Additionally, AS state that there is one mystery club interested in Torreira.
They predict that it’s Sevilla, as the 24-year-old is a fan of the Spanish side’s Director of Football, Monchi.
AS add that Valencia are prioritising the signing of a defensive midfielder, and have already made contact with Edu regarding a deal for Torreira.

The Fray Bentos-born midfield terrier joined Atletico Madrid on a season-long loan deal back in the summer.
However, Diego Simeone has only handed Torreira two starts in La Liga, as well as five appearances from the bench.
The South American has also made four appearances in the Champions League – however, none of them have come as starts.

Simeone is wasting the Uruguayan.
For his sake, as well as for the sake of Arsenal maintaining the value of their asset, Torreira needs to find a place to play regular first-team football, and fast.
If the situation isn’t sorted this month, then it becomes even more of a problem in the summer.
