As per a report by La Nazione, Fiorentina chief Nicolas Burdisso wants his side to complete a deal for Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams in the future.

Adams was one of the best midfielders at the World Cup, before the United States were eliminated from the competition against the Netherlands.

Captaining his nation at football’s grandest stage, the 23-year-old shone in defensive midfield.

So much so that pundit Chris Sutton (via the Daily Mail) believes Adams outperformed Declan Rice in England’s 0-0 draw against the USMNT.

Alongside Yunus Musah and Weston McKennie, the Leeds lynchpin enjoyed a stunning tournament from a personal point of view.

Fiorentina chief wants to wrap up Adams signing

According to a report by Italian newspaper La Nazione, Fiorentina chief Nicolas Burdisso feels his side could look at Leeds United star Tyler Adams as a potential addition in the future.

As per a previous update by Fiorenzeviola.it, Burdisso has scouted the USA skipper at the World Cup.

Furthermore, he kept a close eye on the tie between Greg Berhalter’s side and Iran as well.

In addition, Burdisso wishes for La Viola to make bargain buys and believes Adams fits said category.

However, he seems to be aware that Tyler Adams’ valuation is already significant and it would take a sizable chunk to wrap up his arrival.

Considering the Fiorentina chief’s focus is to make moves in the summer, a January bid seems out of the question.

However, Burdisso has put Adams’ name in his list of transfer targets.

Adams should reject Fiorentina move

For starters, the £20 million sensation (The Athletic) should aim to maintain his bright start to life at Elland Road.

Additionally, a move to the Italian side should not particularly tempt the all-action midfielder, with them languishing in 10th place in Serie A.

The club finished as low as 7th place last season as well.

Fiorentina may be a sideways move for a player as gifted as Tyler Adams, who could go to a Champions League team next if he continues to grow leaps and bounds.
