PAOK are willing to sell Newcastle United and Watford target Dimitris Giannoulis for as little as £4 million due to their ongoing financial problems, La Phoceen reports.
While the Magpies and the Hornets might be in a different league these days, they are still battling for the same transfer targets.
Shields Gazette reported this week that Watford are keen on making Giannoulis the replacement for his fellow Greek Jose Holebas at Vicarage Road.
Newcastle, meanwhile, are once again entering the market to solve their problem position, seven months after Jetro Willems suffered a cruciate ligament injury which ruined his hopes of a permanent contract on Tyneside.
The report adds that Newcastle even made an opening bid of £4 million.

Interestingly, that is exactly how much PAOK want for a man who’s buccaneering displays helped them win their first Super Lig title since 1985 last year, winning 26 of 30 games and drawing the other four.
PAOK, like many clubs in Greece, are in the midst of a crippling financial crisis and that means Giannoulis will be sold on the cheap – as long as his new club are willing to include a 20 per cent sell-on clause in the contract of the seven-time international.
And as long as Mike Ashley remains at the helm, these are the sort of cut-price bargain deals Newcastle will be scouring the market for.
