Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita is close to making a return to full training, The Athletic report.
Keita was spotted back on the grass in midweek, but in his injury update before the Manchester City game, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp did not say anything about the central midfielder.
Keita has been out for weeks now, and Klopp’s failure to mention the Guinean did cause some concern.
However, it seems that the 25-year-old is now edging closer to coming back into contention.
Liverpool have worked hard to try and ensure that Keita can now stay fit for a concerted period of time, as he has struggled badly with injury ever since his arrival at Anfield.
Keita has shown flashes of quality, but he has never managed to nail down a place in Klopp’s starting line-up due to his inability to stay in the team for a run of games.

Keita’s return comes at a point when he could be needed to inject some attacking spark and creativity into their game.
The Athletic also confirm that Diogo Jota’s comeback remains on track and the Liverpool forward should be back very shortly, in a further boost to Klopp’s side.
