Turkish side Fenerbahce have begun talks with Sunderland over the renewal of Jeremain Lens’ loan deal at the club.
The Black Cats loaned out the Dutchman in the summer as he looked to earn a place back in the Netherlands national team.

He has been in good form for the Turkish side and many Sunderland fan will wonder why the club decided to loan him out in the summer.
Now the Istanbul club are hoping to convince Sunderland to let them have Lens on loan again for next season.
It is reported by Sporx that Fenerbahce are hoping to extend his loan spell at the club for another season – as financially they may not be able to afford a permanent deal at this time.

From a Sunderland perspective, it would certainly be an odd move from them to allow him out on loan for the campaign.
Sunderland need cash at the moment and they could make a good fee on the sale of Lens if they decided to move him on permanently.
Allowing him out on loan might not be the most sensible of options.
