The Turkish side have confirmed their interest in the Liverpool defender.
Liverpool’s Martin Skrtel during training
According to the Mirror, Fenerbache are hoping to conclude a deal or Martin Skrtel by next week.
The defender is set to leave Anfield this summer after falling down the pecking order last season.
Manager Jurgen Klopp opted for a central defensive partnership of Dejan Lovren and Mamadou Sakho for the most part, while Kolo Toure and even midfielder Lucas Leiva were also played ahead of him.

He made just 27 appearances in 63 games, the fewest he has managed since arriving at the club in 2008, with just four starts since the turn of the year.
The arrival of Joel Matip has only pushed him further down in Klopp’s plans and as a result, an exit from the club is likely this summer.
Fenerbache are keen on a move and according to the Mirror, they are in talks over a £5 million deal for the Slovakia international.

He will leave Anfield after eight years at the club, during which time he made 320 appearances in all competitions, winning the League Cup in 2012.
