Tottenham Hotspur’s Dele Alli is not keen on the idea of a move to Newcastle United, according to the Telegraph.
Alli has been linked with a move away from Spurs, with Newcastle among the clubs keen to give him a fresh start.
But the idea of signing for Steve Bruce’s side reportedly does not enthuse the England international, who was hailed as ‘fantastic’ by Carlo Ancelotti earlier this season (The Liverpool Echo).
Alli’s wages at Tottenham also may be out of Newcastle’s price-range, which quickly makes any deal between the two clubs look impossible this January.
Alli would have made an exciting addition to Newcastle’s team, but his reluctance to join may be down to Steve Bruce’s style of play.

The Tottenham midfielder arguably wouldn’t have excelled in a side with such a defensive minded approach, given his need for creative freedom to thrive.
Alli could well still leave Spurs in the new year, though, as he continues to struggle for game time.
Jose Mourinho has been highly critical of the England international this term, and he has found first-team chances very hard to come by.
