West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice has agreed personal terms with Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal, but Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool remain a threat, according to a report.

Football Transfers are reporting this afternoon that Arsenal and Liverpool are interested in signing Declan Rice from Premier League rivals West Ham United in the summer transfer window.

The report has claimed that Manchester United and Bayern Munich are also keen on the England international midfielder, described as “a diamond and a fabulous player” by former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves on Premier League Productions (29/04/23 at 11:50 am).

Football Transfers have reported that Rice have agreed personal terms with Arsenal and is ready to make the move to the North London club in the summer transfer window.

However, the Gunners have not reached an agreement with the Hammers.

And Rice wants West Ham to be “adequately compensated for his departure”, according to the report, which has added that “this could get open the door for the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool or Bayern Munich” to make a late move.

Arsenal to win Declan Rice race ahead of Liverpool

In our view, Arsenal are more likely than Liverpool to win the race for West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice in the summer transfer window.

Now, of course, Liverpool, Manchester United and Bayern Munich are massive clubs, but Arsenal appear to be Rice’s preferred destination.

So, if the Englishman has made up his mind to move to the Emirates Stadium, then it is very likely that Arsenal will find an agreement with West Ham.

It could take a while and both London clubs will be tough during negotiations, but it is very likely that eventually they will find an agreement.
