Glasgow Rangers are close to sealing two more signings with Fabio Cardoso and Dalcio set to arrive at Ibrox imminently.

A report in the Sunday Mail has suggested that Rangers are closing in on two more deals this summer, with striker Dalcio and defender Fabio Cardoso set to undergo medicals on Monday.

The Gers have already been busy during this window, signing the likes of Bruno Alves and Ryan Jack, as Pedro Caixinha gets the major overhaul of the squad he inherited underway.

And it appears that Cardoso and Dalcio could be two of the next players that arrive through the door, with the Sunday Mail suggesting that they will arrive at Ibrox tonight before undergoing medicals tomorrow.

The deal involving Cardoso will see Rangers pay Vitoria Setubal around £1.3 million for the centre-back (via Mail Sport), who will be part of the new look defensive partnership alongside Alves.

Meanwhile, Dalcio will arrive in the Scottish Premiership on a season-long loan deal, according to Mail Sport.

Although the 21-year-old has hardly been prolific during his career, a loan move gives Rangers the perfect chance to have a good look at him and see if they can get the best out of the youngster with seemingly no long-term commitment if the move does not work out.

Cardoso on the other hand, is a player that Caixinha will be desperate to see thrive almost instantly given the seven-figure fee set to be spent on him.

But with the 23-year-old playing fairly regularly in Portugal’s top flight and representing his national team at virtually every youth level, it appears that he has the potential to justify the Light Blues spending such a fee on him.

The Sunday Mail adds that the two deals will not lead to Rangers slowing down in the window, with Carlos Pena awaiting a work permit before completing his switch, while the Gers still want Eduardo Herrera and Graham Dorrans, and especially hope to make progress with a move for the former this coming week.
