Everton are being linked with Manchester City’s Fabian Delph.

According to Metro, Manchester City ace Fabian Delph will have to demand a move away from the club if he’s to secure a move to Everton.
Delph, 29, won a second Premier League title last season with City, but has still only ever played 57 Premier League games for the club.
The England international’s role is now in question, as City’s two signings this summer – Rodri and Angelino – play in the positions Delph plays; central midfield and left back.
Delph is now down the pecking order in both positions, and Everton are thought to be keen on offering him an escape route from the Etihad Stadium.
However, it’s now claimed that Delph will have to ask to leave City if he’s to go, as they’re happy to keep him until his contract expires next summer, unless they receive a £16million bid.
Delph does make sense for Everton in the sense that he can play a midfield role as well as offering cover at left back, which is a concern given Leighton Baines’ age and contract situation.

However, spending £16million on a player heading towards his 30’s with just one year left on his contract seems like the exact kind of move that Marcel Brands wouldn’t be keen on.
The Dutchman and Marco Silva may well be keen on Delph, but they’d surely be looking for a cheaper deal than £16million, which may end up meaning that he sees out the final year of his deal and leaves City for free next summer.
