The report in the British tabloid has claimed that with Everton close to signing Arnaut Danjuma on a loan deal from Villarreal, the Toffees could cash in on Gordon this month.

A deal for Netherlands international forward Danjuma could see the Toffees sell Gordon to Premier League rivals Newcastle or Tottenham in January.

Both Tottenham and Newcastle have been linked with the 21-year-old winger, described as “a player who is very explosive” by former Everton manager Rafael Benitez in The Liverpool Echo in October 2021.

According to 90min, Newcastle are very keen on bringing Gordon to St. James’ Park in the January transfer window.

The Sun reported in November that Tottenham had already made enquiries over signing the winger in the January transfer window.

According to The Daily Mail, Spurs have been scouting the English youngster.

The forward has scored three goals in those games.

Gordon made 25 starts and 10 substitute appearances in the league last season, scoring four goals and giving two assists in the process.
