Tottenham’s Tom Carroll is reportedly unsure about a move back to Swansea City.
According to The Sun, Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tom Carroll is concerned about a possible move back to Swansea City due to their struggles against relegation.
Carroll, 24, has come up through the ranks at Tottenham, and whilst he played 27 games in all competitions last season, he’s become the forgotten man at White Hart Lane this term.

The midfielder has played just one minute in the Premier League this season, and that came back in August, as youngster Harry Winks has leapfrogged him in Mauricio Pochettino’s pecking order.
Carroll has appeared just three times this season in all competitions and hasn’t played at all since the 25th of October, with his Tottenham future looking somewhat bleak.

Now, The Sun report that Swansea are close to agreeing a deal with Tottenham to re-sign Carroll – but the player himself isn’t quite sure about a move back to the Liberty Stadium.
Carroll spent the 2014-15 season on loan at Swansea, playing 18 games and scoring once under Garry Monk before heading back to White Hart Lane, where his career hasn’t really taken off.
Swansea are desperate for reinforcements during this month’s transfer window, and new manager Paul Clement will be keen to re-tool his squad in the fight against relegation, with the Swans in 19th place in the Premier League table, one point adrift of safety.
Whilst Carroll may be keen to leave Tottenham in search of first-team football, it’s claimed that he’s concerned about joining a club that could be playing in the Championship next season, meaning Swansea may struggle to land their man – and it could open the door for other clubs to make their move.
