Tottenham Hotspur have made Manchester United’s Anthony Martial one of their top targets this summer.

Spurs are looking to buy competition for Harry Kane, but signing another number nine is not on Pochettino’s agenda.
Tottenham have struggled to find good back-up to Kane, with both Vincent Janssen and Fernando Llorente struggling in recent seasons.
And Pochettino now wants to change tactics, by bringing in a forward who could also play behind the striker.

Kane is simply too valuable to Spurs to be dislodged, which immediately limits any forward’s impact.
Pochettino has now reportedly put Manchester United’s Anthony Martial right to the list of the top of his targets for the summer.
The Argentine manager believes Martial could cover for Kane as a striker, and he also feels he could offer competition in attacking midfield.

Martial can play anyway behind the striker, and his versatility makes him an appealing prospect for Spurs.
The United man is said to only be on a £65,000-a-week contract at United, which Spurs can meet comfortably.
And Pochettino now reportedly sees plenty of positives over bringing Martial to Tottenham.
